1) New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week tops our list and is among the four major fashion weeks across the globe – combined known as the “Big 4”. The event occurs twice each year in February & September in Manhattan, NYC. The event was founded by an American publicist – Eleanor Lambert in 1943.
The event usually lasts for 7 to 9 days where some of the best fashion collections from around the world are exhibited in front of the general audience, famous personalities from the fashion & entertainment industry, and the press.
2) Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week – another entry from the “Big 4” scores the second spot in our ratings. Held in the French capital, the event is organized twice a year at different venues across the city to cover all four seasons’ collections – Spring/Summer & Autumn/Winter.
The event was inaugurated in 1973 and has been famous for promoting some of the most brilliant designers from the world since then.
3) London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week also known as LFW is also a part of the Big Four and is organized twice a year in the same months as the New York Fashion Show and attracts the global audience by promoting and exhibiting more than 250 designers from all over the world.
Held in the heart of England – London, the event usually expects an audience of around 5,000 people including people from the journalist community.
4) Berlin Premium International Fashion Trade Show
Standing at the fourth spot on our list, this fashion trade show has been fairly new (2003) yet managed to earn fame and acknowledgment quite soon. Organized at various breathtaking locations across the capital of Germany (Berlin), the event has managed to revolutionize the local fashion week concepts.
The event is held twice a year where more than 60,000 people are entertained with an extravagant display of more than 1,300 collections.
5) China Fashion Week
Held in Beijing, China, the event is the first Asian entry on our list. The event is organized bi-annually in March and October across different locations in Beijing. China Fashion Week was first held in 1993 and since then has exhibited and promoted more than 3,000 designers and models from all over the world.
6) Dubai Shopping Festival
Dubai is not only famous for its adventurous deserts and high-rise shopping malls & hotels but also for its shopping festival that has added up to the state attracting even more tourists. The event is held once a year for one whole month. However, it slightly differs from the usual fashion shows where the shops usually offer massive discounts and includes exciting segments such as daily raffles and prize draws where the visitors can get a chance to win some exciting prizes such as cars and gold.
7) Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Sponsored by the famous lingerie brand – Victoria’s Secret, the event is held once a year where models also known as the “Victoria’s Secret Angels” with their size-zero physique walk the ramp in front of some of the most high-profile audiences from around the world.
8) British Fashion Council Fund Show
The event unlike most is famous for providing a platform for the emerging talent in the fashion industry to showcase their work. It allows these young groups to capture the eyes of certain designing companies who are made a part of the event to help the emerging talent grow and prepare for even bigger fashion events.
9) Chanel Fashion Show
Chanel is one of the most famous luxury brands in the world. Since its inception more than 100 years ago, it has been organizing multiple events all over the world. The events are also famous for being themed in nature where the models are all found in the same attire.
10) Loewe Fashion Show
Although, Loewe is a mediocre brand yet has been famous for organizing some of the best fashion shows in the world. The events are usually held quite often when the brand comes up with new seasonal collections and utilizes the platform to promote them.
