Every now and then the fashion industry surprises us with newer talents who usually come up with fresher ideas and designs that are either embraced or disregarded by people around the world. Today, we’d like to highlight some of the emerging fashion designers from the globe that everyone should look out for.
Maisie Wilen
Founded by an ex-designer from the Famous Kanye West’s brand “Yeezy” Maisie Schloss who amazed Kanye with her out-of-the-box women’s wear designs and managed to grab his attention to support her with the seed money to launch her own brand – Maisie Wilen in 2019.
With her unique style of party outfits making them equally wearable at home, the label tops our list of emerging fashion designers.
Kenneth Ize
Born in Nigeria and raised in the Austrian capital Vienna, the emerging designer found his love for fashion designing at a very early age where he’d assist his mother in selecting fabrics for her handmade clothes.
A graduate of the University of Applied Arts Vienna and an LVMH finalist, this young designer has been quite focused on promoting his ancestral roots of Africa through his designs and using locally produced fabric. Aso Oke – a bright woven cloth has been his signature look in his designs.
Chopova Lowena
A name that has been getting a lot of buzzes lately and is third on our list is none other than Chopova Lowena. The co-creators Emma Chopova & Laura Lowena collaborated and came up with this exciting venture while studying at the famous Central Saint Martins – University of Arts London.
They came up with some colorful blossoming woolen skirts and gave them a Bulgarian touch that became a sensation overnight and has been turning into a cult following.
Del Core
Founded in 2020 and debuted in 2021 by one of the ex-employees of Gucci – Daniel Del Core, this fashion house has gained a lot of popularity in a short amount of time and is fourth on our list of emerging designers. They made their first appearance at the Milan Fashion Week 2021 through astonishing and colorful designs that quickly captured the eyes of the audience.
Charles De Vilmorin
Founded by a 24-year-old French stylist and couturier – Charles De Vilmorin, the brand has become an overnight sensation and has gained much popularity, especially during the pandemic time. The designer launched its first collection of quilted jackets In April last year that was greatly applauded, hence, were offered participation in the famous Gucci Fest the same year in November.
They launched their first haute couture in January 2021 which gained further fame and appreciation for the designer brand.
Thebe Magugu
Next on our list, we have a South African fashion house founded by a young South African and a graduate from LISOF. Established in 2016, this designer brand is famous its contemporary ready-to-wear women’s clothes that are comfortable and durable yet fashionable at the same time.
The brand also received critical acclamation for its innovative yet thoughtful designs that could relate to history, politics, and culture.
Daniel W. Fletcher
From being a finalist at the famous Netflix show – Next in Fashion in 2020 to working for famous brands such as LV, Burberry, and Victoria Beckham, this famous designer established its own London-based brand in 2015 that offers clothing and accessories for all genders. The designer is also working for the famous Italian fashion label – Fiorucci as their artistic director.
Supriya Lele
Founded by an Anglo-Indian designer and one of the finalists from the famous LVMH in 2020, the brand came into existence in 2017 and made its debut at the London Fashion Week the same year and has gained much popularity with its fresh and contemporary designs.
The brand gained more popularity when the famous Dua Lipa wore an orange skirt and top from Supriya Lele at her 25th recently.
